October 2026 | Planning Applications

Iain Collie Architecture has submitted a planning application to Waverley Borough Council for the extension and alteration of an Arts and Crafts-inspired family home in rural Surrey.

Situated within the Green Belt and Surrey Hills National Landscape, the proposals have been carefully developed to respect the architectural character of the existing dwelling and its sensitive landscape setting. The scheme introduces a series of thoughtfully designed extensions, improving the arrangement and functionality of the internal accommodation while maintaining a cohesive architectural appearance. The proposed materials draw upon the traditional character of the property, incorporating brickwork, clay roof tiles and tile hanging, together with carefully considered architectural detailing.

Particular attention has also been given to the ecological sensitivities of the site, with the proposals informed by specialist assessments and measures to protect existing wildlife habitats.

The application is now awaiting determination by Waverley Borough Council.
